Although my acreage is not large, I have planted many native plants for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Many of the plants are perrenials and range from tall to short, all bearing flowers at various times throughout the spring, summer and fall. I also have containers on my deck which attract bees and hummingbirds.
Unfortunately, my large garden is fenced in to discourage the bunnies from eating the tender plants and early buds. Chipmunks scale the fence but don't seem to bother the hummingbirds, bees or butterflies. There's plenty for all!
